StirStudios is a trade name of DancePlug Inc. (“StirStudios,” “we,” or “us”). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide, including:

• Your name and email address
• The services you are interested in
• Details you include about your project

Please do not include sensitive personal information in the “A few words about your project” field.

When you send the form, we receive a copy of your submission by email, and we send a confirmation email to the address you provide. These emails are delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) and received in our business mailbox, which is hosted by Namecheap Private Email.

Our website and hosting systems may also collect limited technical information needed to operate and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, and server logs.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you
• Understand your project and prepare proposals or estimates
• Provide and improve our services and website
• Protect the website, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot technical issues
• Meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations

We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails because you contacted us. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Legal bases

Where the law requires a legal basis for using personal information, we rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract with you, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving our website and business.

Analytics, form protection, and media

We use Plausible Analytics, which we host on our own server, for aggregate, cookieless traffic measurement, OVH to host our servers in the United States, Cloudflare to deliver and protect the website, Cloudflare Turnstile to protect forms from automated abuse, and Bunny CDN or Stream to deliver supported media. Some pages embed videos hosted on YouTube; when you view or play them, YouTube may process information under its own privacy policy. OVH, Cloudflare, Bunny, and YouTube process limited information needed to perform those functions under their applicable terms and safeguards.

How we share information

We share information with service providers only when reasonably necessary to help us operate our website, host data, deliver email, or provide professional services. These providers may use the information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business reorganization or transfer. We do not disclose contact-form information to third parties for their own marketing.

International processing

StirStudios is based in the United States and works with clients inside and outside the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.

Cookies and tracking

The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for security, form submission, and basic site operation. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral advertising cookies.

We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and improve the site. Plausible does not use cookies or similar persistent identifiers, create individual user profiles, or track visitors across websites. We do not use Plausible data for advertising.

Because there is no single industry standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the website does not respond to them directly. Where legally required and technically supported, we honor applicable browser-based privacy preference signals.

How long we keep information

Contact-form submissions stored in our website system are retained for up to 24 months. Email copies of submissions, related email correspondence, and business records may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for an active or prospective client relationship, contracts, accounting, dispute resolution, security, or legal obligations. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website or method of electronic transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy choices

You may ask us to provide access to, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. You may also object to or limit certain uses where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
