Barry Youngblood

StirStudios collaborated with international dancer and choreographer Barry “BYB” YoungBlood to produce a series of conceptual dance videos over the years.

For the featured film, we took care of the whole production—from finding the venue and developing the visual approach to lighting, filming, editing, color grading, titles, and custom graphics. Every creative decision was shaped around the movement, so Barry’s performance and choreography stay at the center of the piece.

Coming from the performing arts ourselves gave us a natural understanding of timing, musicality, framing, and how choreography translates from a live space to the screen. The result is a polished dance film that captures Barry’s distinctive performance style and presents his work with a cinematic eye.
